ACTS, an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology and Service, is a lay ministry that strives to achieve the directives of Vatican II and the goals of the Revised Code of Canon Law of 1983 to place more emphasis on "Community and Pastoral Care within a parish". Men, women, and teens plan, organize, and present three-day and three-night retreats based on the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ in order that participants experience God's love and joy throughout the weekend, and return to their parishes with a deeper love for each other and a desire to become more involved in the parish faith community.
Sacred Heart Parish ACTS retreats started in 1997. An ACTS Core started meeting in 2007 in order to coordinate and set guidelines for retreats. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7p.m. in the parish office. Meetings are open to parishioners who have attended an ACTS retreat.
